Middlebury Language Schools Summer Immersion
Middlebury College
Costs you
$6,750–$12,365
Undergraduate/immersion summer sessions run approximately $6,750-$8,250 comprehensive, and that figure INCLUDES tuition, room AND board - unusually complete for this price band. Graduate-level programs are billed differently and cost more: the Spanish graduate program bills tuition $8,235 plus insurance $140 plus housing and food $3,990, totaling about $12,365. EXCLUDED across programs: transportation to and from Vermont (budget $200-$700 for domestic US travel), books and supplies, personal expenses, and health insurance where not itemized. Some language schools charge additional fees for materials, excursions and cultural activities - check the specific language's fee page, since costs differ by language. There is no international airfare requirement for the Vermont campuses, which materially improves the all-in comparison against overseas programs. Deposit amount varies by program; confirm at admission. Middlebury offers need-based financial aid for the Language Schools, plus a range of fellowships and scholarships including support tied to specific languages and to teachers. Aid is meaningful and worth applying for; apply at the same time as admission, since funds are limited.
We take no commission if you enroll and have no relationship with the operator.
Seven-to-nine-week total-immersion summer language programs in Vermont, governed by a strict Language Pledge under which participants speak only the target language. Academically rigorous and credit-bearing, delivered by an accredited US college rather than a travel operator.
