Junior steward/ess: USD $2,200–3,300/mo + tips (charter yachts tip significantly — $500–2,000+ additional/charter). STCW course cost: USD $900–1,400 (1-week in-person). Stewardess training bundle (IAMI GUEST + STCW): USD $1,500–2,500. Gratuities not guaranteed on private yachts. Housing typically provided onboard. Net positive from month 1 after training cost recouped.

Entry-level superyacht interior crew (steward/stewardess) work. No yachting experience required but STCW Basic Safety Training certification is mandatory before working. US citizens work on international-flagged yachts in the Med (Antibes, Monaco) or Caribbean/Florida (Fort Lauderdale). Dock walking and crew agencies (Meridian, Luxury Yacht Group) to find first jobs.
