TWO SEPARATE MANDATORY FEES that families routinely under-budget, because bases advertise the lecture-phase price prominently and the outreach price separately. LECTURE PHASE (US bases, 2026): YWAM Ships Kona $4,700; YWAM Raleigh NC $4,695; YWAM Los Angeles $4,000; YWAM Madison $3,995 plus conference fees; YWAM Tyler $3,960; YWAM Wylie $3,850. This covers room, board and tuition but NOT airfare to the base. OUTREACH PHASE, billed separately and driven mostly by airfare to the field assignment: YWAM Wylie $5,000-$6,000; YWAM Ships Kona $5,000-$5,500; YWAM Madison $3,000-$4,500; YWAM Raleigh NC $2,485 PLUS airfare. TOTAL realistic range is therefore roughly $6,300-$10,200 depending on base and outreach destination, plus your own travel to the base at the start, passport, visas and vaccinations. Many students do not learn the outreach figure until partway through the lecture phase, by which point they are committed. ASK FOR THE OUTREACH ESTIMATE IN WRITING BEFORE ENROLLING. There is no institutional financial aid. The expected funding model is personal SUPPORT-RAISING - students write to churches, family and friends soliciting donations to cover fees. This works well for students embedded in a supportive congregation and poorly for those who are not, and it is a materially different proposition from need-based aid. Some bases offer limited work-scholarship arrangements.
